About

Komal Ashraf, DO, was born in New York and raised in Iowa. Her specific areas of interest include, but are not limited to, new onset seizures, refractory (difficult to control) epilepsy, headaches and sports and non-sports related concussion. She received special training that allows her to give Botox injections to help people with chronic migraines and use neuro-stimulation devices to assist people who have seizures.

In addition to her clinical interests, Dr. Ashraf is passionate about advocacy and leadership to raise awareness about epilepsy and concussion within the community. She was also instrumental in helping MU Health Care become a premier site for the evaluation of NCAA athletes as part of the NCAA concussion program.

Dr. Ashraf is a mom of two girls, and in her personal time she enjoys participating in sprint triathlons and powerlifting competitions.
